Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) is seeking a highly motivated lawyer with a strong interest in securities and derivatives regulation. A significant percentage of the work in this position will be dedicated to the challenge of regulating derivatives in the province. This exciting position will develop and implement regulations for derivatives, in conjunction with other Canadian jurisdictions. This position will analyze report on and recommend courses of action based on data received.
The Securities Division of FCAA protects investors by regulating the sale of securities and derivatives in the province. Reporting to the Deputy Director, Legal, Securities Division, your practice will also extend to all subject areas that touch upon the mandate of the Securities Division and include advising on legal and policy issues relating to securities and derivatives regulation.
To qualify for this position, you must have a university degree in law and membership in the Law Society of Saskatchewan. A finance, commerce or business administration degree would also be an asset.
