The settlement agreement is approved. Dated at Regina, Saskatchewan this 23rd day of April, 2024.
This is the Panel’s decision with respect to a Joint Application for Approval of a Settlement Agreement dated February 22, 2024 submitted by the parties in this matter.
For the reasons that are included within, the Joint Application is allowed.
The teleconference is scheduled for February 5, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. (CST).
The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan is publishing an Affidavit of Dean Murrison in the Matter of Rochelle Laflamme, Alisa Thompson, Epic Alliance Real Estate Inc., and 12767490 Canada Ltd.
The parties shall inform the Registrar whether a settlement agreement has been reached on or before November 30, 2023. If a settlement agreement is reached the Registrar shall schedule a Settlement Approval Hearing at the earliest opportunity. In the alternative that the parties are unable to reach a settlement agreement, the parties shall appear on February 5, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. CST for a pre-hearing conference which will proceed by teleconference call.
The teleconference is scheduled to take place on September 18, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. (CST).
The parties shall appear on September 18, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. CST to make submissions on new hearing dates for the remainder of 2023 and 2024, and to provide the Hearing Panel with an update on the status of ongoing settlement discussions.
The teleconference is scheduled to take place on August 28, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. (CST).
The Hearing into the merits of the Statement of Allegations dated January 20, 2023, scheduled to begin on August 28, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. CST is adjourned to a date to be determined after further submissions from the parties.
The hearing into this matter shall commence at 9:00 am (CST) on August 28, 2023, and, if necessary, continue on August 29,30,31, September 1, 5,6,7,8,11,12,13,14,15, 2023 and any other such dates and times as may be determined by the Hearing Panel
The first appearance scheduled for April 6th, 2023 is adjourned to Monday May 1, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. (CST), held by way of teleconference.
Rochelle Laflamme, Alisa Thompson, Epic Alliance Real Estate Inc., and 12767490 Canada Ltd. or a representative are to attend before a Panel of the Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan via teleconference on April 6, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. (CST) to set a date for a hearing into the matters alleged in the Statement of Allegations, dated January 20, 2023.
Staff’s application to extend the Temporary Order is dismissed on the terms set out in the Order of the Panel dated November 16, 2021.
The Temporary Order is terminated effective immediately.
Leave is granted to the Respondents to file with the Registrar as practicable their materials regarding Staff’s application to extend the Temporary Order to April 5th, 2022 and the Temporary Order shall for now be extended up to and including November 19, 2021.
The Executive Director hereby orders that the Respondents shall cease trading in securities and derivatives in Saskatchewan up to and including November 5, 2021; the Respondents shall cease acquiring securities and derivatives for and on behalf of residents of Saskatchewan up to and including November 5, 2021; and the Respondents shall cease giving advice respecting securities and derivatives up to and including November 5, 2021.
