    Originally adopted on June 1, 2022, General Order 81-508 Temporary Exemptions from the OEO Trailer Ban to Facilitate Dealer Rebates of Trailing Commissions and Client Transfers (GO 81-508), was implemented to provide temporary exemptions from the OEO trailer ban, facilitating dealer rebates of trailing commissions to clients holding mutual funds in OEO dealer accounts and supporting the processing of client transfers.

    GO 81-508 took effect in all CSA jurisdictions on June 1, 2022, and was set to expire on November 30, 2023. To extend its validity period, the order is being amended (Amended Order). The original order remains in effect until November 30, 2023, and the Amended Order takes effect on December 1, 2023.
