Filing Fees

Section 5 of The Pension Benefits Regulations, 1993 outlines the fees payable when filing an application for registration of a pension plan, an amendment, an annual information return or an actuarial valuation report or cost certificate.

The filing fees are as follows:

  • The fee for filing an annual information return or an application for registration of a pension plan is:
    • Subject to a minimum filing fee of $300 and a maximum filing fee of $30,000:
      • $10.00 for each member, and
      • $5.00 for each former member. 
  • The fee for filing an amendment is $300 per filing.
  • The fee for filing an actuarial valuation report or cost certificate is $300 per filing.

All submissions must be filed with FCAA using the Registration and Licensing System (RLS).  Filing fees can be paid online (within RLS, at the time of submission) or by cheque.  If paying by cheque, please print a copy of the invoice provided within the submission found in RLS.  Please make the cheque payable to the “Minister of Finance”.  Please send the cheque and a copy of the invoice to:

Any filing may be considered incomplete until the appropriate filing fee is submitted. 

The filing fee is GST exempt.
