• Sanctions Order - September 2023

  It is hereby ordered that:

  1. All of the exemptions in Saskatchewan securities laws do not apply to the Respondent Olesiuk, permanently; 
  2. the Respondent Olesiuk shall cease trading in any securities or derivatives in Saskatchewan, permanently; 
  3. the Respondent Olesiuk shall cease acquiring any securities or derivatives for and on behalf of residents of Saskatchewan, permanently; 
  4. the Respondent Olesiuk shall cease giving advice respecting any securities, trades or derivatives thereof in Saskatchewan, permanently; 
  5. the Respondent Olesiuk shall resign any position that he holds as a director or officer of an issuer, registrant, or investment fund manager; 
  6. the Respondent Olesiuk is prohibited from becoming or acting as a director or officer of any issuer, registrant or investment fund manager, permanently; 
  7. the Respondent Olesiuk shall not be employed by any issuer, registrant, or investment fund manager in any capacity that would allow him to trade in securities or derivatives, permanently; and 
  8. the Respondent Olesiuk is prohibited from becoming or acting as registrant, investment fund manager, or promoter, permanently.

• Merit and Sanctions Decision - August 2023

  This is the Panel’s decision in respect to its deliberations on the merits of the allegations and proposed sanctions against Mr. Jay Max Olesiuk brought by Securities Counsel in a Statement of Allegations dated April 29, 2020 pursuant to The Securities Act, 1988, ss 1988-89, c S-42.2 and as amended on December 16, 2021. On May 11, 2020, the Chairperson of the FCAA appointed this Panel to hear this matter pursuant to section 17(2) of The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan Act, SS 2012, c F-13.5.
