Securities - Decision in the Matter of Foris DAX CAN ULC dba Crypto.com

May 8, 2025 - The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan published a Decision in the Matter of Foris DAX CAN ULC dba Crypto.com, granting them time-limited relief from prospectus requirement, suitability requirement, trade reporting requirements and marketplace rules.

 


 

Securities - Decision in the Matter of Payward Canada Inc. (Kraken)

April 1, 2025 - The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan published a Decision in the Matter of Payward Canada Inc. (Kraken), granting them a time-limited relief from the Prospectus, Trade Reporting and Marketplace requirements. Within six months of registration as a restricted dealer, Kraken is to apply for registration as an investment dealer and membership with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization.

 


 

Securities - Decision in the Matter of Newton Crypto Ltd.

March 12, 2025 - The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan published a Decision in the Matter of Newton Crypto Ltd. (Newton), granting them a time-limited renewal of Newton’s exemptive relief (prospectus relief, suitability relief and trade reporting relief). Newton was granted time-limited relief originally on August 15, 2022. This decision was renewed on March 8, 2024, and expired on March 8, 2025. Newton has submitted its application and supporting documents to Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) for review on February 26, 2025, and requires an additional 12 months to transition to CIRO as an investment dealer.

 


 

Securities - Decision in the Matter of VirgoCX Inc.  

January 30, 2025 - The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan published a Decision in the Matter of VirgoCX Inc., which grants them a time-limited extension of relief from certain prospectus, suitability, and trade reporting requirements originally granted on May 30, 2022, extended on May 30, 2024, and extended again on January 30, 2025.

 


 

Securities - Decision in the Matter of Shakepay Inc.   

January 9, 2025 - The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan published a Decision in the Matter of Shakepay Inc., exempting them from the prospectus requirements in respect of Shakepay Inc. entering into Crypto Contracts with clients to purchase, hold, sell, deposit, and withdraw Crypto Assets and from certain reporting requirements under Part 3, Data Reporting of Multilateral Instrument 96-101 Trade Repositories and Derivatives Data Reporting.
