• General Order 45-538 Self-Certified Investor Prospectus Exemption (Varied and Restated)

  Originally adopted on March 31, 2021, the self-certified prospectus exemption allows investors who certify to having certain financial and investment knowledge and acknowledge that they understand certain investment considerations and risks, to invest alongside accredited investors, subject to certain limits. 

  The self-certified investor prospectus exemption was implemented in Saskatchewan and Alberta on a three-year pilot basis expiring on April 1, 2024.

  The variation of the exemption order dated March 21, 2024 removed the April 1, 2024 expiry date and revised phrasing in Annex 2 to align more closely with the accredited investor language on which it is based.

  The variations are effective April 1, 2024.
