Consultation Responses: Notice of Proposed Regulations and Request for Further Comment on FPFA Act
March 23, 2023 – The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority (FCAA) conducted second round of consultations regarding The Financial Planners and Financial Advisors Regulations (the Proposed Regulations) under The Financial Planners and Financial Advisors Act (FPFAA) between July 20, 2022 and September 20, 2022. The FCAA received 23 submissions. These submissions can be accessed here.
The FCAA is currently reviewing the submissions, and based on the feedback received, will consider making recommendations to the Minister regarding the proposed regulations that will officially bring the Financial Planners and Financial Advisors Act (FPFAA) into force.

Insurance and Real Estate – Public Feedback Wanted on Financial Planners and Financial Advisors Regulations
July 20, 2022 - The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan today issued a consultation on the regulation of financial planners and financial advisors.
The consultation period ends September 20, 2022.
FCAA is seeking additional feedback on the updated Proposed Financial Planners and Financial Advisors Regulations to set out FCAA’s approach for assessing Saskatchewan’s credentialling bodies and the credential requirements associated with use of the Financial Planner and Financial Advisor titles.
FCAA is publishing the proposed Regulation for comment on its website. FCAA invites feedback until September 20, 2022.
