February, 2005 – The Trust and Loan Corporations Amendment Regulations, 2005 came into force on February 3, 2005.

c. T-22 .2 Reg 1  The Trust and Loan Corporations Amendment Regulations, 2005 came into force on February 3, 2005. Amendments include:

• clarification of the filing deadlines for statutory declarations regarding the maintenance of capital;
• removal of the annual return filing requirement for Saskatchewan financing corporations;
• provision of an exemption from the requirement to be a member institution within the meaning of the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation Act for trust corporations that do not accept deposits; and
• provision of an exemption from The Trust and Loan Corporations Act, 1997 for agencies defined in The Agri-Food Act, 2004.
