Pensions – Proclamation of The Pooled Registered Pension Plans (Saskatchewan) Act

May 3, 2016 – The Government has proclaimed The Pooled Registered Pension Plans (Saskatchewan) Act on May 1, 2016.  This proclamation brings into effect The Pooled Registered Pension Plans (Saskatchewan) Regulations and amendments to The Pension Benefits Act, 1992 and The Pension Benefits Regulations, 1993.

Pensions – Consultation: Proposed Regime for Negotiated Cost Pension Plans

May 2, 2016 – The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority has released a consultation paper regarding the proposed regulatory regime for certain private sector negotiated cost pension plans (NCPPs).  The consultation paper can be found via the attachment and link provided below.  Comments must be submitted to Tami Dove, Senior Policy Analyst (contact information provided in the consultation paper) by July 31, 2015.
