Securities – Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC): Approval of the IIROC Application regarding the IIROC Restricted Fund - Notice of Approval Order

October 27, 2022 – The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan issued an order pursuant to subsection 21.6 (a)  of The Securities Act, 1988, SS 1988-89, c. S-42.2 (Saskatchewan) to allow the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) limited access to IIROC Restricted Fund  in order to cover certain external advisor costs incurred by IIROC in relation to the creation of the New SRO in accordance with subparagraph 8(a)(iv) of Appendix A of the IIROC Recognition Order. 

The order takes effect on October 27, 2022.

In addition, the Ontario Securities Commission, the British Columbia Securities Commission; the Alberta Securities Commission; the Financial and Consumer Services Commission of New Brunswick; the Manitoba Securities Commission; the Nova Scotia Securities Commission; the Prince Edward Island Office of the Superintendent of Securities Office; Office of the Superintendent of Securities, Northwest Territories, Office of the Superintendent of Securities, Nunavut and Office of the Yukon Superintendent of Securities issued analogous approvals.
