Securities – CSA Notice and Request for Comment Proposed Amendments to National Instrument 45-106 Prospectus Exemptions relating to the Listed Issuer Financing Exemption
July 23, 2026 – Today the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) are publishing CSA Notice and Request for Comment Proposed Amendments to National Instrument 45-106 Prospectus Exemptions relating to the Listed Issuer Financing Exemption.
The Proposed Amendments and the Proposed Changes are mainly intended to increase the amount that can be raised under the listed issuer financing exemption in Part 5A of National Instrument 45-106 Prospectus Exemptions and to streamline certain other conditions and disclosure requirements of the exemption. Further details on the Proposed Amendments and Changes can be found in the CSA Notice and Request for Comment and its annexes.

Securities - CSA Consultation Paper 51-406 Modernizing the Regulation of Public Companies
July 16, 2026 - The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) published CSA Consultation Paper 51-406 Modernizing the Regulation of Public Companies.
The CSA is publishing this Consultation Paper for a 120-day comment period, seeking stakeholder input on potential ways to modernize certain areas of securities legislation in relation to reporting issuers.
The CSA welcome perspectives from all interested stakeholders and will consider the feedback on all aspects of the Consultation Paper to assess appropriate next steps, including whether new rules or amendments to existing rules or other regulatory actions are warranted. The CSA may use blanket order powers where it is necessary and appropriate to implement general exemptions on a timely basis; however, the CSA will publish any proposed new rules or rule changes for formal comment through the rule-making process.
The comment period ends November 13, 2026.
